What is an Air Source System?

Answer: A system composed of equipment that generates, treats, and stores compressed air is called an air source system. A typical air source system consists of the following components: air compressor, aftercooler, filters (including pre-filters, oil-water separators, in-line filters, oil removal filters, odor removal filters, sterilizing filters, etc.), pressure stabilizing air receiver, dryer (refrigerated or adsorption type), automatic drain valves, along with air delivery piping, pipeline valves, and instruments. Based on different process requirements, these components are combined to form a complete air source system.

Why is Treatment of the Air Source System Essential?

Answer: The compressed air output from an air compressor contains a significant amount of harmful impurities. Failure to remove these impurities through proper methods can cause substantial damage to the air source system:

Degraded Lubricating Oil (Oil Carryover): Can cause deterioration of rubber, plastic, and sealing materials, clog small orifices, leading to valve malfunction and product contamination.

Moisture and Particulates: Cause rust and corrosion of metal components and pipelines, resulting in seized or worn moving parts, pneumatic component malfunction and air leakage. Moisture and dust can also clog throttle orifices or filter screens.

Low-Temperature Risk: In cold regions, moisture can freeze, causing pipelines to block or crack.

Poor air quality significantly reduces the reliability and service life of pneumatic systems. The resulting losses often far exceed the cost of air treatment equipment and its maintenance. Therefore, correctly selecting an air treatment system is absolutely necessary.

How Does Jufeng Approach Air Source System Treatment?

Answer: Jufeng deeply understands the significant damage low-quality compressed air can inflict on machinery. Therefore, for years, we have never neglected the treatment of the air source system. Jufeng’s approach to compressed air quality control focuses on four key aspects: airborne oil contamination, airborne impurities, airborne moisture, and air temperature.

For airborne oil and impurities, Jufeng insists on using high-quality international brand filters and filter elements. Simultaneously, we independently research, develop, and improve oil-gas separation tanks and the specialized lubricants used, ensuring from the source that the air output from Jufeng compressors is sufficiently pure.

Regarding airborne moisture and temperature, Jufeng’s dryers, through additionally installed temperature control valves and sensors, ensure that every cubic meter of compressed air output perfectly meets the customer’s requirements for dryness and temperature.
